225/40-18 are within 1/4% the circumference of the 255/35's:

225/35 = 25.028" tall
225/40 = 25.087"

Those are 2.2% taller than OEM.

OEM - 24.86"
235/40-18 - 25.40"

Tom,
Did the MAF survive the fire?
You might just trying going to a good alignment shop -- the better ones have camber bolts in stock.

I have a good shop to do the work... maybe I should give them a call. My most important issue is the tires. As long as all of the tires are the same size I don't mind throwing the speedo by a few mph. I think 245 will be a perfect median but 245/??/r18's is my question...

No the MAF did not survive and he already sold his extra so I am crapped out of luck on that... It did definately cross my mind though

Well, the MAF did not survive the fire but his turbos did. I am thinking of maybe keeping them for a future project.. TTeg33 in an SVX anyone?? I would prob run them on a stock motor as I don't have any more spare engines lying around anymore I successfuly cleaned the wheel that was scorched by the fire today and it came out better than the wheels that were not effected. I will be purchasing the BFG G-forces 235/40 r18 in a few days for the wheels and hopefully have them for the Subaru Challenge.

Ok here is the rundown...

I will be buying the wheels for $300 from my brother

I will be buying the two turbos for $250
-Stage2v4
-Extra Injector controller(to be decided on what brand)
-Lots of tubing with pre-mandrel bent angles and silicone hoses.
-2 top mount intercoolers(where the battery and ABS units are)

The turbos will be front mounted behind the front bumper cover, One on each side. The exhaust manifolds will turned around so they face the front(switch sides). The piping will be made via the master pipe fitter in the house(daddy ). I am expecting to run no more than 8lbs of boost. I am also going to have to do some fabrication of the hood in order to make 2 wrx sttle scoops for the intercoolers. I know it will look silly but it will be functional.

Well thats the plan. I am hoping to be able to complete this before Reading next year. If you have any questions or suggestions please throw them my way as I could use the input

Tom
