Thus, a good reason why an "old school" Camaro cowl induction hood scoop should look nice on the SVX

I think it may also look pretty good, but its been used on GM trucks and Mustangs for so long, maybe not.. I sorta like the
Euro look more with another style.

I can tell you why !!! because the scoop is made of another material than the CF. It may be plastic and the hood is carbon fiber..

An advice for future projects :

- Fiber and plastic never mix
- Fiber and metal never mix
- CF and Fiberglass never mix
- CF mixes with CF
- Fiberglass mixes with Fiberglass

And I dare anyone who says otherwise !!!

If you wanna cover the plastic with fiberglass all around it will hold, but if you wanna put fiberglass on plastic or metal, by time and weather conditions or a certain impact will cause them to crack....

Also the lower pressure of the air flowing over the hood would affectivly suck the air past the radiator reducing the power needed by the electric fans.
Now if there was a hood like that, Id buy it in a heart beat.
If I can get ahold of a cheap stock svx hood, I had plans to fabricate this system to see how it would work out
I see where you are trying to go with this but your engine would run cold after a cold start longer. i dunno how much longer becuase your radiator does not really cool your engine when the thermostat was closed. But i don't really see much of a positive improvment for doingthat on a stock car. or i might be wrong... But if you have made a ot of mods to the car i can see where this might be useful

I remember a while back a lot of people seemed to want OEM stlye CF hoods. Maybe you should look into those. It'd be easier I would think...
