Yep, Phil, over in the UK has a 4WS and it has been documented by the members there. So, that's no longer a Myth.

As for the TT -- that remains a myth . . . . . until Stevebsy perfects his system.

And better brakes

JDM models (and other non-US models?) also come with vented rear disc brakes rather than the US solid rear disc brakes.

I'll be checking that.

Let you all know tomorrow...

Question

Have you tried it??

You get faster response to kickdown, holding onto lower gears longer for safer overtaking, higher line pressures, so less slurring of the brakeband, and the car generally feels like you tapped into another 30 horses or so.

On a down note, it hunts gears a bit when you ease off going into bends, but most autos do.

I think it's great, but if I'm not in a hurry and listening to the CD, I'll drive with it off.

Joe

Has anyone ever identified the wiring connections so that we 'Yanks' might be able to wire in our own 'Power' Switch?

I don't see how it can be done. The TPS has a line to the TCU, that is used to determind the throttle pressure and to select the speed that the changes are made. The TCU also uses the rate of change, of the voltage on this line, to select the Power mode.

Anything that is done to this TPS line would also affect the change points and throttle pressure. It is not as easy as has been suggested in the FAQs.

Harvey.
