hood cable removal
Does anybody know how to remove the lower left side dash panel? I'm afraid to pull on it.

That's a good one for the FSM and some digital pictures. Did your cable break?

There's 2 bolts and a couple clips holding that panel on.
You have to remove the change holder and one of either the mirror button assembly or the fog/mirror buttons to gain access to the bolts. The piece comes off very easily.

Was there no bolt behind the coin box?

hood cable
Well I have a 96 so it has the obdll connector in place of the coin box. Also you have to remove one plastic screw rivet on the under side of the escaine panel. I just removed the one bolt behind the power mirror switch. That gave me enough room to remove the hood cable latch assembly. The reason why I replaced it was because of slack in the cable.
