I just read that there are 200 fire pits in the park... We should be able to get at least one of them I assume What's camping without some nice fire and the smell of beef or pork over it

EARL'S PLACE?

The only directions I've got for Earl's place are Burlington, WA.... Could someone PM me the exact address? Thanks!

I think I could do that! I thought I had the address on the directions. Maybe not.

Some answers...

Well these may not be exact answers, but I just went camping in a WA State park (not the same one) last weekend and this was the deal. Fires were not allowed anywhere. It kinda took away from the experience for sure. They did allow charcoal fires in the fire pits so we will be bringing a bunch of charcoal this weekend. I think the deal with charcoal is that it doesn't pop and spark so it is safer for the dry woods. I will also bring some firewood, just in case.

Don't worry about fire pits, each of our sites come with one.

As for alcohol, I didn't pay attention last week, but the only place I saw signs prohibiting it were in the public day use areas, not in the camping areas. I did see several people opening drinking beer at their campsites. But being prepared with plastic cups may be good.

Hey my wife just asked me what we were doing for meals. Anyone have any ideas for a good group meal we can all contribute to, or should we all just pack for ourselves and then share as we feel like it.

I think that if everybody brings a little bit extra we could share and get a pot-luck type of dinner going We'll also bring some firewood and charcoil along.

That sounds the easiest to me too.

In addition to Earl's, I'll bring a stove too, so those, in addition to the charcoal or wood fire, should let us make just about anything.

Hey, does anyone know where I can get an inexpensive MAF sensor really quick?

Troy,

I just read something today about being able to wash your MAF... maybe that will fix the problem?

read the 3rd post from the bottom. Hope this helps.

Hmmmmm interesting...... I'll keep my old one and try that out. Still want to get another one on there though before attempting the long trip this weekend.

Hey Nick

Nick, if you feel like it, try getting a hold of Matt and see if he is still up for Saturday. I've been trying to get a hold of him to give him the directions to Earl's.

Could I get directions? (I'll feel silly if they're hidden somewhere in this thread and I've just missed them.)

Hey Nick, remember we are camping at a LAKE, and that means you might get wet! At least you won't be riding a Harley back in the middle of the night I guess.
