earth strap

There is an earth strap or radio ground strap which attaches from the muffler to the body, I think? I was broken and I removed it last year meaning to replace it. What does it do? Any suggestions on where I should attach to on the muffler side now that I have a Stebro. Thanks

You only really need one, so try to find any muffler clamp, attach it it there and to a frame bolt.
A better question might be:
Do I really need it?

I'm not sure about the SVX, but I know my boat needs it/them.
I'll assume you don't take your SVX Swimming.

I beleive its just a electrolisys balancing thing, to keep the exhaust from corroding.

I don't think anyone with Stebro exhausts use the strap. I don't know what people with custom exhausts did.

The muffler itself is stainless, and the rest of the exhaust system seems to rust happily enough. I'm not sure why there's a grounding strap on the exhaust, but I made sure to bolt it back on when I reassembled the exhaust a month ago.
