Oil Change basic question.

I am going to change my engine oil by myself. I did once before, but forget how many bottles of oil should I use (include oil pan and oil filter). And also what should I beware of when changing oil? Thanks.

I will use Mobil Syn 10W-30.

You need a new drain plug gasket and the side with the line goes toward the pan.

Wipe off the mating filter surface on bottom of the engine and use a drop or two clean oil to lube gasket on the filter. Use your hands to tighten filter as tight as you can or I can. What is it 3/4 to 1-1/4 turns? I fill the filter with oil before putting it on.
