Re: Any one seen one of these?

It was a 290kw 5.4 boss v8 ute with a 6 speed manual box, it was fun planting my foot around a corner losing traction as the back slid out wheeling letting go of the steering wheel with the power on till it snapped back in line as the road caught up to the wheels. It sounded like thunder rolling in

Re: Any one seen one of these?

I love the Utes, reminds me of the days of the Ford Rancharo and Chevrolet El Camino. Impractical yet practical, and always fun to drive.
The recent Chevy SSR was an overpriced, under powered attempt to revive the Ute concept in the USA.

My son and I have been watching the resale prices of the GTO and G8. Still holding high. I bet a good investment if production stops. The LS engine has great after market support and OEM parts are reasonable.

Re: Any one seen one of these?

A little digression but, here's a blast from the past from a good friend in Brisbane. Holden I believe.
Looks like the highly collectable Chevy Nomad we had in the USA.

Re: Any one seen one of these?

Looking at Holden history, looks like it is a rebaged car. The 49 looks like a Buick the 60 liked like a rambler. The 70 looked like a maverick. A few looked Ford.
Grill changes and tail light mods. Even a mention of some foreign car names. Rodeo..
