5mt swap, cable clutch pedal box issue

I picked up a green 92 SVX last year with a 5mt conversion already done to it, but the clutch was totally gone. It sat in my garage for 6+ months and I'm finally tearing into it now. It is set up for a cable clutch, which is fine, so I'm just going to keep it that way because it seems less work than converting to hydraulic. I already got the transmission out, and replaced the clutch and flywheel with 06 WRX (push style).

I ran into quite a few issues though. The pedal box is "custom" (i think its a hybrid of the original svx pedals and a 5mt pedal set, welded together) and it was all kinds of bent to make it "fit". It was bent and spaced down from the top 2 bolt mounting points so that the clutch pedal wouldnt hit the wiring harness block (mounted up top). The cable for the clutch is also totally hacked up and damaged so I'm going to replace it. I got a set of 92 Legacy 5mt pedals but the whole box is shorter overall than the one in the car, so i cant use it. also the "custom" transmission crossmember is interesting to say the least. theres all kinds of plates and brackets welded to the underbody of the car

I basically have everything figured out, but heres where I hit a roadblock: If i try to mount the pedal box "properly" (flush with all the mounting points like it should be), the clutch pedal cable hook "arm" hits the wiring harness. Is there a solution for this? I'm really frustrated and what was supposed to turn into a weekend clutch job has become a week of headaches and trips to the junkyards

If the previous set-up was working, I'd have left it in, but my fix for the clutch arm hitting is I make a new hook for the cable that mounts down at a different angle, I have a simple CAD drawing of the fix, but it's at work, I'll try to post it later today....
