A question for everyone: Has any manufacturer actually made that claim, or is it the public's perception of why the windows are like this?

Regards the difficulty of getting out of the back of the SVX, I'm not a Large Economy size adult [I'm 5'6"] and I find it really difficult to get out of the back of the SVX [It's twice as hard to get out of a Nissan 240SX, but that's another story] I've made the point before that because there is nothing to hand to pull yourself up from the back, or lever yourself forward, people resort to gripping the roof over the driver and passenger door to pull them selves out. This causes compression dimples on the SVX roof, particularly on the driver side which does not have the drop-down pull handle. Don't let anybody big in the back of your SVX, but if you do let them in, have a ruler in your hand to whack their knuckles if they resort to gripping the roof rail to pull themselves from the car. Some behavior just should not be tolerated. Joe

I must be fortunate because my rear passengers only ever grab the seat in front of them for leverage to get out. Plus I only let the rear passengers get in and out on the passenger side, because the power operation on the driver's side is time-consuming and I don't want people yanking and stomping on my lovely driver's side. Or anywhere in the car for that matter. So they prefer the passenger side anyway haha.
