Will never work. It's a sports car right? Single wheel in the back though? There goes your cornering ability, so now you have something that just goes strait really well, but rolls at the first tight corner you have.

I'd like to think it's possible, but watching so many fully electric cars that have huge promises come and go, you get discouraged. The single rear wheel, why? to be different? Except that you likely make it non-user-changable with that style. And I don't see a ton of zap dealerships around here, but maybe I just live out of their target market area. It's just to different from what's currently out there.

I'd go with the Chevy Volt first.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, scotch in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA !!!!!

Just because its a 3 wheeler does not mean it won't handle well....go drive a T-Rex....
And it's a 3-Wheeler because that classifies it as a Motorcycle, so it does not have to pass US Crash Tests....so it can be broght to market quicker and cheaper...

There are several new 3 wheelers in the market now just for that reason...

If a single big wheel at the back is OK for Judge Dredd, then it's OK for me!!

Really Fast Trike

ZAP! STRAIGHT TO THE MOON!!!!!!
I don't really get how you would steer efficiently... Would it be like a boat's rudder? I mean.... thats the only thing that would make sense to get really good turns at high speeds. Something like Articulated steering or something. LIKE A FRONT LOADER TRUCK! I think it's just a silly dream for some but hey if it markets and people drive under 12 to make a perpendicular turn... while getting honked at in rush hour traffic, more Green power to them!!!
i'm going with Jay on the whole chevy first thing... *cringe*

On the three wheeler note...

I finally got to drive a trex this summer, was pretty cool. It was one that was purchased when they first came to america, the owner bought it as a kit and finished it himself, that was the only way you could get them at the time. The suspension was really stiff which caused it to bounce a bit through the corners.... with the right suspension it would be incredible... even with the bouncing it was still better than most 4 wheel contraptions...

Well as we get older we get more predictable Mike.

Being a biker, you have to keep up to speed with all the macho stuff, chest wig, gold medallion, leather pants for going down the shops etc, etc.

These Carver thing are closer to my idea of a good 3-wheeler:

and:

That looks like good fun to me, but at a high price.

I didn't get it.

Whose catch phrase?

Sox cap. What's a sox cap? the only people who wear sox for caps over here are bank robbers.

I presume yours means something uniquely American.
