Stuck in the SVX? It couldn't be ................... :-)

Actually, I got stuck myself a couple of weeks ago, but managed to get out without being pushed or towed. Perhaps one day I can afford to get snow tires. Because I really can't right now. No, I can't I tell ya. Seriously, I can't.

Normally my alarm is set for 7:00 A.M, and it is bright outside when I get up. This morning, I woke up around 6:00 instead, and couldnt figure why it was so dark. I figured that at that time, it should be alittle brighter out. So as I lay in bed waiitng for 7:00 A.M. to roll around, and it did not get any brighter, I wondered what was going on. So I went to the window, and, thats right, you guessed it! It had snowed, and the sky was overcast. I am so ridiculously tired of snow every weekend! On the plus side, its 12:30 now, and the snow has stopped, and the sun is out. We barely got a dusting...this time...

I got stuck in the snow

In littleton, right after the second snow storm, i tried to make my wat through my neighborhood and got high centered on some ice. that same day there was a mail truck, a tow truck, a u-haul, a minivan, and an SUV all within 3 blocks from me. but i got out first. all i needed was a second car and a tow cable, about 5 seconds later, i was off the ice mountain, and free to roam the streets once again. I don't even have snow tires, i just have the bridgestone potenzas.

*Throws hat on floor, stomps on it, proceeds to throw temper tan-trum.....*

*returns five minutes later*

CURSE ALL THE GODS ABOVE IF I SEE ANOTHER SNOW STORM THIS YEAR!

I am sick and tired of staying at work all day long, feet wet, brain tired, and nerves slowly but surely being rubbed to nothing as I answer phones and take orders, make pizzas, and running around like a mad woman trying to do the work of three people..... as we are short staffed because we have a bunch of babies who work at our store and won't drive in even the smallest amount of snow.....

and then customer's b*tch about why they are or are not getting delivery.... and why is taking so long....

HAVE YOU LOOKED OUTSIDE????!???! You and every other cursed person in town decided that 3 inches {Or more} is a reason to forget how to make a PB&J and they HAVE to order delivery!

Now..... in some of my fellow employee's defense..... they don't own AWD or 4WD vehicles, so they have larger issues staying on the road.... {were as both of my parents are show-offs.... Daddy with his SVX, and Mom with her Baja.... both lovely Subaru vehicles, with that lovely 'AWD' feature.} But they still fuss about absolutely nothing sometimes......

Between them fussing and customers chewing me out, I'm just plain tired of it all....

And I figured we were done....as most of our snow is FINALLY gone...... and we're suppose to get more tomorrow....

Colorado may have got alot, but you guy's got it all in bulk...... we just keep getting 'seconds' and 'thirds' .....

*Grumps under breath " and 'eighths' ......" *

Well the snow is finally melting off, I would say that it is about 70% gone right now. My front lawn is still covered (the shadow from the house keeps the sun from hitting it for all of about 2 hours). Now its just time to chip away the ice that has been lingering in my driveway. I didnt shovel it in time, before my roomate drove his jeep into the driveway, packing the snow nice and tight, whcih then turned to ice. But it is nice to see asphalt and concrete again, as strange as that sounds.

If we get another big snow storm, I'm moving to Florida. I'll take hot and humid over this cold crap.

Snow?????

I remember this thread from a while ago....I have quit feeling sorry for everyone cept the ones in NY, my Dad lives in Rome NY and has to shovel his ROOF off daily. They can literally walk from snow onto the roof top of the barn. He fell off last week and broke 2 ribs and cracked his arm. I feel so bad not being able to help him (hes 72 years old!) but maybe he will come to his senses and move to warmer weather soon. I know there are other elderly out there way worse off then him and I feel so bad for them!

Snow? If it snows down here in Houston, the news breaks in and everyone quits work and everything to watch it come down. Funny yes.
