Im very reluctant to take this thing apart for the 4th time. I thought i had the pipe going fairly tightly into the hole. It was still bent a little and going in at an angle, but it looked to be sealed all the way around. I think i will just keep it in FWD for now. Or maybe sell the car. Anyone interested?

It just circulates the ATF to cool and lube the gears and clutches. The pipe leaking won't cause the binding you have, as it is the pressure in this pipe that is applying the clutch. If it was leaking too much, you would not have the clutch work at all. Harvey.

That makes sense. So would you guess that my clutches have gone bad? or the valve itself?

Otherwise it is the C solenoid/transfer valve, sticking. Harvey.

The hammer was used to insert the driveshaft because it wasnt sliding in easily. Not sure this would have anything to do with the clutches. Everything else went together nicely. This last time i had it apart, the driveshaft slid in easily like it was supposed to. Not sure why i had problems the time before.

Ok, i see what you are saying. It may be a good idea for me to drive the car in AWD for a while to see if the clutches wear together. I will give it a couple weeks and then report back. Thanks a lot for the help. I really do appreciate it.
