Transmission slipping when cornering.

Yet another transmission question. If it has already been covered, please tell me which thread or which search phrase to use as I can't seem to find anything close. Here goes...

I city-drive with the transmission in 3rd gear and when cornering and giving a bit of throttle my transmission slips out, the engine revs and then catches once I am going straight again. Not cool. This doesn't happen under light, zero G cornering, only when I give a good push. I haven't noticed any problems going straight forward no matter what amount of throttle I give.

The floor is open...

Two things come to mind. 1st its picking up the inside front wheel to spin. 2nd, the ATF is low, allowing the oil to surge, suck air, drop pressure.

Other than that, no eye deer.

Harvey.

I can eliminate the "picking up the wheel" possibility and also the low transmission fluid theory as well.

During the process of performing a transmission fluid flush (non pressurized type) are there any components in the trans that can be damaged, bent, left out reinstalled improperly or otherwise made wonkee by a mechanic that would cause loss of fluid pressure when cornering?

How about this;
THEY INSTALLED THE WRONG FILTER AND THE PICKUP IS TOO HIGH!
Or they did not install the O-ring on the correct filter.

Or you are pulling more than a full "G" and I want your suspention/tires.

I'm going to be pissed if that's the problem. The slipping began sometime after my last service, and I didn't make a connection between the two until my drive this morning.

Do you think I've done any damage to the transmission yet?

Slipping

Hi Nate, I think Harvey hit it right on the head. I had a fluid change on my "92 and when I went around a corner it silpped. Called the dealer and he said bring it back and we will fill it up. They did and it stopped. I would check the ATF level. Take care, BOBB

I checked the fluid level while hot and cold and it's spot-on. Unless the SVX has an optimistic transmission dip stick...
