Looking for add on Fog Lights
Does anyone know where to get add on fog lights? I would like to get round ones for mounting in the lower part of the bumper jacket. Ones where I would have to cut round holes in the bumper to mount them.

You can get cheap ones pretty much anywhere. I got mine at Pepboys, and they've lasted a year. Pretty good deal I'd say...
http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/Bwana/8458.jpg They're wired in to the parking light power (via turn signal running light). So when i turn the light switch one click, the parking lights and fog lights come on. They are yellow, so it doesnt look ricey to have them on durning the day, although i usually dont have them on. *shrug* Also, Earl/Mike can you move this to Mod?

Hrm. I've had the same idea, but the car already has a set of fogs, and I don't want to be labeled 'ricey'....
http://members.aol.com/cash68/fogs.jpg http://members.aol.com/cash68/booyah.jpg I purchased these for 40 dollars at a local autostore, they were called "Cyberwhite" or something like that. They worked much better than my headlights (which isn't saying a whole lot) but I could safely drive on the highway with JUST my foglights on, without any headlights whatsoever. I keep looking at them longingly whenever I go shopping. Hrm. Meh. I need to hold out and just purchase an HID kit. - Rob |

Scott, Do you have information about your grill?
The fog lights you show, yes, I have seen them but I was looking for something to mount in the bumper. Right next to where you have yours I want to cut a round hole and put them in the bumper. To do this they have to have a swivel joint. I haven't seen any like that. If I can't find them I will go for what you have done as I need to get more light on the road to avoid obstacles. I like that grill. Is it thicker then plain old gutter guard?

I made it myself. It's actually stucco backing. Like $5 for a 6x4ft sheet, lol.
Made grills for a couple of my friends too.

Dude, those fogs I posted a picture of, the "CYBERWHITES" have a swivel that comes with them. I had to use them the way I mounted them, and I also had to cut holes in the bumper. I ended up using a roto-zip and a hand file to get the job done. It looked pretty good actually.

Rob, Thanks for the info. I am trying to find lights that will mount just to the hole that is cut in the bumper. The hole becomes the mounting surface. Are those lights this type?

Oh, no, they aren't like that. You mentioned 'swivel' before, and they do have that feature, you can adjust them that way. I've never heard of mounting them directly to the plastic bumper, using the hole for the mounting... it'd be pretty hard to adjust them if you did it that way, I imagine.
Anyway, here's a link if you want a set: http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PILNV602W What I did was cut the holes, and mounted the brackets to the metal part of the bumper. - Rob |
