I recall the first time I saw an SVX live and in person and was surprised at how large the car was. Sort of like and F14 fighter

Ya think?

<HOLY GEEZ>

If they build too many of them there'll be a steel shortage in this country. The thing has to attract dirt just through gravitational pull

The pull will begin affecting tides, then throw off the entire ecosystem, this will be worse than global warming.

Just the thing

for those quick trips to the 7-11 to get a half-gallon of milk.

On the positive side of the ledger - it could intimidate any SUV on the planet. Wonder how much one those puppies costs?

Not my style but....

I will admit that, on the plus side this at least looks to be marketed to a demographic that actually might need something like this. There are people out there that spend a lot of time towing recreational trailers, horse trailers, race cars, etc and this would be nice if you were in that position. Not any worse than those massive bus sized motor homes running around the country!

I could be wrong, but I think the people that buy one these will actually use it for what it was designed, and they will intimidate all the SUV's out there - the ones that we really have a problem with - the Excursions, Expeditions, Ex-etc etc etc, that the soccer mom's and yuppie wannabe outdoorsmen drive recklessly around. Burning 5 gallons of gas to get a gallon of milk at the corner 7-11.

Troy, I'll agree with you on that one. If you're going to have a 5th wheel or a horse trailer, something of this ilk would be great to pull it with. I think the gas guzzling "Yuppieated" SUV is an absolute waste of good steel and that there should be a LAW against stretching the SOB's. I mean, hell, aren't they big enough without a stretch. I mean, when you stretch a Caddy or a Lincoln, you've got class. When you stretch an SUV, you've got pure unadulterated idiocy!

Talking

I predicted this would happen one day! A "mini" Kenworth or Peterbuilt for the mom, who needs transport the entire soccer team AND soccer field to the next event. However, I do think I'd love to pull up in one of these things next to a Lincoln Expedition & spit on the roof. HeHe. Ron.

Significant Technical Input
What kind of class is there in having to crawl six feet inside the car, on your hands and knees?

For my money a chauffeur driven motorhome is the way to go. Maybe even pull a trailer behind it, for the maid and butler.....

I saw one of those CrewZer monstrosities at the Minnesota State Fair at the end of summer, actually. The thing is just wrong. The sticker on the window said something like $73,000. Ouch. I bet if you buy one with a full tank of gas, it will cost an additional couple hundred

I can't wait to get my car working...when I bought it, I drove it for about three days before putting it up on jackstands for a manual conversion. Sometimes I'll just sit in the front seat and make driving noises.

So, I guess I'd have to concur in the "I love my car" comment...

Gas pains?

<I bet if you buy one with a full tank of gas, it will cost an additional couple hundred >

I think I saw in the specifications that it come with TWO 65 gallon tanks. 130 gallons total at, let's say $1.5 comes to $195. Good guess. I saw on another site there was an SUV version of this thing. It was pretty gross.

But I do agree that they can provide actual utility for the owner as opposed to supposed utility for the SUVs. I watched a show where people were crashing their SUVs because they were overloading them with cargo. Apparently even though they are large they aren't made to carry much weight. Go figure!
