help with carfax

i found an svx body and interior mint but engine has high mileage and tranny is done. i'm looking at the 5 speed conversion. the car has 8 files and i was wondering if someone could run it through carfax. here is the vin # JF1CX8655TH100018 . also does anyone have an idea how much it is to put a 5 speed tranny in. or is it anything a person who knows not too much bout enough about cars to do. but doing so buy directions.

someone please help i found this SVX that needs a new tranny and is priced at 1750 its a 96 LSi. and theres 8 files. i miss my red svx and i don't want to go to anything else but an svx.
