Wilwood Big Brake Kit Group Buy!!!

Bad news everyone, Wilwood just got back to me via the telephone and disappointed me BIG time. In order for the to see the demand worth while, they are going to need 30 orders. Not collectively but 30 orders of each or either kit. I highly doubt this being a possibility so this is yet another down the drain. I apologoze for getting people's hopes up.

Tom

When do we actually have to get you the $$ by? I can commit if the money isn't needed for little bit.

I do not need the money right away, I just want people to realize that this is for real and if they are invested, it won't be as easy as ducking out the back door

they will be making the brackets as well?

If so, I'm in. I'll know by the time you start taking the first few orders.
What size wheel will I need? I was planning on putting 17s on it, should I go bigger? Or just wait on the wheels to see? I just put new calipers on to replace a defective one. So this will be caliper set number 3 for the front... what is wrong with me?

Here is the email I got from Wilwood last night to clarify

Quote:
We would need an initial order of 30 kits at approximately $700 per kit; with a $10k down payment to be willing to invest the research and development necessary to develop this new brake kit. I’m not trying to be difficult, but that would be the kind of financial commitment that would be required to develop the kit.

so really, it will only cost initially $334 for 30 people to originally show interest and to cover the down payment, Then you can get the rest of the $700 to me when you can... But whole payments would cause less confusion
