Well, it's done...
As those who've followed my posts of late will know, I have been considering the idea of "going it alone" in the IT field. Well, in a sense that's exactly what I've done effective today.
Yesterday afternoon I had a long discussion with my (now ex) CEO and I told him that I felt that the company and myself were going in different directions. I offered my two weeks notice, he decided not to take it. Now, I'll be the first to admit this is a scary time; I took a weeks' unpaid leave to consider my options, and I've got some new leads going for full-time jobs (some good ones too). I've also got good leads on 10-99 work that I can be doing, so I've yet to truly decide which route I'm going to take at this point. I guess that means all my options are currently open, and I'll take whatever grabs my fancy. Preferably before life grabs too hard at my pocketbook. Well, I just wanted to keep "the family" abreast of the latest happenings. I really hope this works out for me... but then none of us ever really know what's coming up next. I'll keep all up-to-date.
