Re: Hub-centric rings on Enkei Shoguns and tire size

10mm difference in offset may make the the chance of an outside rub on the rears with a weight load a bit easier...my rubs, as rare as they are, would probably not occur if the rear strutrs were a bit newer. I bet you'll be alright but certainly 225/45-17 should be no problem. I have used these and 235/40-18's w/o a problem.

Thanks for the info. I'll give them a shot and see how they turn out and let you know

Re: Hub-centric rings on Enkei Shoguns and tire size

I have been running 235/45/R17 on 17x8 wheels with 48mm offset. Never a problem and the speedometer appears to be right on.

Re: Hub-centric rings on Enkei Shoguns and tire size

Just an update, finally got new tires installed on the Shoguns last night and found the correct hub-centric rings. For these wheels the center bore is 73mm and the SVX is 56.1mm. Got the rings on last night, and tonight i'll move everything out from around the SVX so i can get it out and put the new wheels on

Oh, i went with Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3+ tires. They seemed to have the right balance of everything i was looking for so hopefully they will work well. I'll post pics once i get them on.
