Leftovers
Memorial Day may mean the start of summer to some, but it means spring cleaning to me. I spent the day cleaning the shed and the garage. Owning an SVX means finding SVX parts stashed all over the place for years to come. I shipped everything I owed Eric yesterday (and then some), and here are the leftovers:
A set of great condition, non-drooping gray visors. Disregard the shadows in the pics; these are really clean and come from a non-smoking car. They're both as tight as new. -Sold- Wanna lose some weight? A set of manual seat brackets that shaves some easy pounds from the SVX. Do a search for the weight savings. -SOLD- . One good stock SVX crank pulley. Bead blasted and painted. -Sold- I also have a stock intake with IRIS valve (no throttle bodies) and stock cast iron exhaust manifolds. These were going to get ceramic coated, but I sold the car before sending these off to the coaters. Make an offer or I may still coat them for the added value and then re-sell them at a later date. All for now. Last edited by gsodonis; 05-27-2008 at 04:05 PM. |

Looks like everything else is sold. I wanted the manual seat belts stuff if it was available. No big deal though.

Lee has dibs on the visors and the crank pulley. Waiting on Paypal.
Silverspear wants the seat brackets. Yes, they are the stock manual adjustment seat braclets from the SVX with the cloth seats. The part that does not show in the picture is the part that you press to release the buckle at your waist. It was removed when I got these, but all you need to attach them is two nuts. You can reuse the ones that come off your powered brackets. It'll be pretty obvious (and easy) when you have them in your hands. |

You mean the seat brackets? the rails? If you want them you can have them Earl... But these are not manual seat belts..

Manual Seat Belt Envy
Sorry for any confusion, but I don't have manual seat belts. These are the manual seat brackets (or seat rails).
I wish I had manual seat belts - I'd be able to buy an entire years homeschool curriculum for my wife for what they'd fetch. |

That's interesting you were using the lighter seat runners to save weight. I'm actually planning to go the other way. I'm studying the seats to see how I can make the passenger seat powered up. For sure it will add weight, but I think it will be worth it. My wife hates the SVX passenger seat with a passion, and I'm not that fond of it either, it's too low. Putting in the powered seat will allow raising the cushion and finding a comfortable seating position hopefully. Joe

Easy?
Yes Dave, I would agree that would be the easy solution. But only "easy" if money is no object.
Knowing the weight of the driver seat I imagine shipping a full LHS passenger seat from the US might attract some heavy shipping charges I'm trying to find a [lighter] cheaper way. Joe
