Leather treatment.
I was talking to a friend of mine who owns a bodyshop about different car care tips he might have, seeing as how he has probably seen the end result of most of the products out there. He told me that most leather treatments on the market today have a lot of harsh chemicals in them that can actually do more harm than good. I looked into this a little and even found one that said not to let it come into contact with my skin. Then why would I put it on cow's skin? He said that baby oil is the best thing to use. Seeing as how a baby's skin is the most sensitive you will find, there are no harsh or abrasive chemicals in it.
My results with the baby oil have been very impressive. This is what I have noticed. 1. Makes cracks in the leather less noticable (sp?), stops cracks from getting worse, and prevents future cracking. 2. The leather is a lot softer, it has more give to it. So I sink in more. 3. Because I sink in, I don't feel like I am sliding around in my seat as much. 4. The leather looks a little darker, and has a very natural shine to it. 5. It's smoooooooth. I don't know what other people have said on this subject, but I thought I would share what little wisdom I have. |

Thank you, I will definitely try that, even if it is far too late for my seat (It looks like swiss cheese ). Some day I'd like to get them reapolstered (i know, I can't spell).

best stuff i've ever used - soak in the Rejuvenator with garbage bags over the seats for a day or two (brings all the crap out of the pores to the surface), then wipe it down good with the Prestine Clean. it works wonders, and makes it smell like new leather again.
