Thumbs up Guess what I ran into on the way home...

I was getting gas, and started to pull out of the station when a Black LSi was just pulling in...

I turned the car around and pulled it off to the side. Went up and spoke to the owner for 20 minutes. His name is Gary and he owns a '94 LSi w/ 140K. He didn't know about the forum so I wrote down the address for him.

He needed a driver's side door panel, and I mentioned that several members were parting out cars and could sell him the part.

It was pretty cool to finally talk to the owner of the first SVX I've 'spotted' on the street.

These cars are awesome!!!

Yeah, it's always good to have your first one! I was so nervous/ excited talking to him that I kept stumbling over my words...

He really liked my '96 and said it was in great condition. Hopefully, Gary and I will bump into each other again on this site or around town!

I fondly remember my first conversation with a fellow SVX driver/owner. Great time. I love these cars as well, but I love em more when I don't get a chance to talk to the owner and get to watch them in action. Always gives me goosebumps to see another SVx in motion. They look so graceful!!

I've met a few SVX owners through nasioc, but never any "random" owners. I parked next to a red one (94 I think) with a window sticker from our forum at Circuit City the other day. it was cool to see the 2 red SVXs right next to eachother. this one had the gray interior and no spoiler, so it musta been a L or LS. Didn't get a chance to talk to the person tho .

These cars look so beautiful by themselves, but when multiple ones are around, the BODACIOUS factor increases exponentially!!!

Absolutely! And seeing a whole train of them invokes a reaction in my loins usually reserved for Jessica Alba or Turbo 911s. The last time I saw a number of them together was about 2 years ago at a joint Impreza/SVX meet. That is when I decided I must have one of these cars. now that I have the appreciation for them that I do, I can't wait for another meet where I can see a bunch together.

typically I see one or 2 every week or so on my commute. but I've gone months without seeing one. New England has an unusually high Subaru concentration.

I think I bought my car the weekend after that meet . just missed it. it was the tri-state meet 2 years ago that I speak of in my earlier post. I had my impreza there next to a few others... we had our hoods open and were comparing mods. all EJ25s at that point. Then the SVX train comes in... I look under the hood of one of them, then under the hood of my impreza.... lost a little love for my car that day . I subsequently vowed to find a SVX in killer condition sometime soon. the Impreza just didn't do it for me anymore. might have been different if it was a WRX... but still, the SVX is a gorgeous machine inside, outside, and under the hood. I was so happy to be able to see them all together like that.

Yeah, meeting other SVX owners is a trip. I swear owning this car is like being a member of a cult or something.

Speaking of meeting other SVX owners, I meet a nice one every so often when I go to get my car looked at.

I think his name is Jason Porter or something like that

Gotta love living 9 miles away from the Subaru of Gwinnett dealership where he works.

The day before I bought my SVX, I ran into 3 SVXi in one day!, after that, I knew it was a sign or something, I had to have this car!!!, I see one lady who drives a Green 94 AWD all the time, it's pretty cool seeing another SVX drive by......and just the other day, while at the subaru dealership, I saw a claret 97, or at least I'm pretty sure it was a 97 due to the grille being the body color!, I almost freaked out!, I couldn't believe it!, man, I love these cars!!!!

Definitely feels like a 'cult' with a language of its own sometimes...
