I looked at that. Those are not the "hot" item right now. I believe the mini remote cars taht are so popular are the 'zip zap' cars. They are a lot cooler too.

The ZipZaps are pretty cool, but I prefer the Tomy Bit Charge cars. The ZipZaps are a little larger and considerably slower than the Tomy cars. I will say, though, that this makes them much easier to control. Plus, you can change the hubcaps on the ZipZaps.

There are tons of Tomy Bit clones, though. The site that Randy posted above looks like they're selling these clones.

Jeezikers! Try to help out and whaddaya get? Ya get a "mac vs pc" mentality -- right off the bat. A few months from now, you ain't gonna care what "brand" it is when your kid steps on it, your cat swallows it, or your wife picks it up in the vacuum -- not to mention, after the novelty wears off. Golly-gee.

You guys should look into 'Canned Heat" from tyco. They're a bit bigger, probably about...eh... 5" long, 2" wide... but they're really fun. Bigger, slower, easier to control, and more realistic looking. I modded mine. Lowered it abit and teflon lubed everything so it was faster than a friends. hehehe.

Thanks, Randy! I know you're just trying to help It's like Ford vs Chevy between the Bit CharG and the ZipZaps. i found a really good sight that sells the Lxx CharG (a clone of the Bits) for $10. I can get 2 with Express shipping for only $37. They are considered to be as good as the Tomy models and are identical down to the packaging. Some say they are made by the same OEM that makes the Tomy models.

The zipzaps are hot sellers but that's only because RadioShack is the only distributor and the dock worker strike has a boat load of them literally in holding waiting to be released. They are way slower than the bits but can be upgraded to be as fast. Either one you go with has it's benefits.

Shhhh. Don't let Nick know that I know that he knows.

(Since I know Nick, I merely chuckled at his response. I could see the glint in his eye, even through the screen. )

Food. He's always thinking about food. Larry, go have a Knish and and read the post again. Maybe it'll become clear to you if you're less hungry.

Good idea Randy, but do you mean a regular Knish or a Coney Island Knish? Now to find a vanilla egg cream to wash it down.

Thanks to Cash (never thought I'd post that). I think you guys mean an ATM (Automatic Teller Machine), as in MAC Machine. But I never heard of a PC ATM. Which bank uses them?
