Which reminds me. Anyone watching TAKEN? This series is so-o-o long I'm sure Beav will have time to show up somewhere.

Ron.

I'm embarassed to admit it, but, yes. I've been very impressed, however. I just hope it doesn't end up like Steven King's "It" and wind up with a really lame ending. I don't usually allow myself the luxury of getting hooked on a mini-series, but, I've made an allowance this ONE time.

Meanwhile, anybody know where I can get the box set of "Twin Peaks" for cheap. That was the last "series" I was hooked on (prior to that, I wouldn't miss Hill Street Blues) and had to miss the entire final season because of ten weeks of rehearsal for my performance in Music Man.

thanks y'all for all the responses... made me feel better... =)
all the advices are taken into consideration too...

just thought i should clarify a few things...

1. no, it wasn't cash pming me... as i pointed out in another thread, i think he's really becoming more aware of what he posts lately and he deserves some props for that (cash, if you're available 1.19, i'm going to hold you accountable to come out to the mini meet and help me install the guages hehe =)

2. no, it wasn't about indiglo guages... other people's personal opinions don't offend me, becuase, like so many of you pointed out, its my car, and i can do what i want with it... what bothered me was that after i inquired about something a member had for sale, and it turned out to be not my taste (for example, aluminum trim versus carbon fiber trim; white rims versus gun metal rims) and turned down the offer, that member basically responded with, 'if you can't afford it, don't inquire about it.'

3. as i said, there is far more positives on this site than negatives, so i won't 'abandon' the community... at least not until lwin help me figure out how to maximize out of the av system =)

but anyways... i'm sooo glad that this forum allowed me to vent, and that all your support really lessened the frustration... now back to studying for more finals =)

thanks!!

TAKEN = X-Files meets Twin Peaks meets Steven King meets every dam' commercial ever aired. I DO like what I see about "Tremors", though. Especially the sweet thang in them shorts. WOW!!!

Anyone hooked on "24" ?

Ron.

I fear my next series "hook" will be Children of Dune. I was less than impressed with the movie (Starring Twin Peak's Kyle MacLachlan , no lesss), since they tried to cram the trilogy into a single unit. The mini-series version with William Hurt was much better, but, I had to miss most of it (Grrrr). I used to read the books of the trilogy in the dry sauna after working out. Added a tad of realism to the stroy line.

Completely. I was hooked on Farscape too, but SciFi has killed it.

Yeah Farscape is probably the best sci-fi to come about in years, and they kill it I was hooked on "Space Above and Beyond" to, which also died a early death......Oh yeah, I watch 24 to, although not as intensely as I did the first season.

The only thing I find frustrating with the site is how the threads always change subject matter.

Seriously though don't abandon this site or anything you truly enjoy because of a few moroons (Bugs Bunny). If it wasn't for this type of person we wouldn't have appreciation for good and helpful people, which this forum is really chock full of.

If you have someone who you just can't stomach place them on "ignore" (I've got one there now) and if you get a PM don't open it.

Report anything harassing to the moderators and let them take it from there.

Randy (Hoping this is sound advice) ii

OK Randy - NOW who's changing subjects? Sound advise belongs in the technical forum under audio upgrades.

I know I'm sick, but...

i really love this thread.

good hearted stuff, quit the whining stuff, apologies real and imagined, being broke (yes i want cheese with this: wedding aniversary today, xmas coming of course, 3 of 4 kids birthdays in january, at age 51 back in college, oldest kid in college, took a term final tonite in finance, MBA by next december if i can stay the course),

then to top it all, information I didn't know about the forum. can you actually delete a post after somebody has already read the dumb things i said and put in their reply?

i KNOW i have inadvertently POed a few members (and for which I apologized if I knew, sorry if I missed any of you out there). i couldn't face the number of times i've said something stupid - and i don't have a particularly high post count (considering how much time i spend reading this forum).

while I'm off topic...

where would i find the program that had 3 of the dune books in one series/movie? i saw the version with sting, and now they're skipping up to children??? when, where, etc?

Beav, re: your signature du jor - I'm def stage IV....sad, sad, sad...but getting jolly-er.

svxeno: too bad you live on the west coast and i on the east. i've owned a couple of 124s, spyders and a 71 sports coupe. but never at the same time as an SVX. you must be a brave, or foolish, man - of course i'm trying to keep a Norton alive at the same time as my SVX so.... edit (trying it out)... where did you source the upgraded door felt (or is that a secret).

P.S. This might be a post i try out the delete key on

Speaking of hijacking a thread.. All this talk of tv made me check the schedule. Seems there's a bit of a documentary on A&E at this very moment that we should all be watching.
