Smile 500 Miles a Day.

This weekend I set off for New York to visit chris (SVXMAN2001). All went well, the drive was fun, and we had a chance to fix his radiator while I was there. It took a while, but went relatively smoothly (except for me getting sprayed with coolant in the face - thanks chris!)

I thank the network for the great friends I've made here. It anything, buying the SVX was worth it for that.

Pics of the trip are in my locker under "New York Trip"

all day with the SVX

Glad someone else spent the day with their SVX. I'm still in the process of finishing a finishing job. Started the day by clay baring the car and then on to waxing with the full process Zainos brothers wax system. It's 7:00 pm and I'm still waiting for the first coat of wax to dry to put on the second.

Results?

I'm curious to see the results you get from doing the clay bar and Zaino thing to your red SVX. How bad was your paint before you started? Mine is pretty bad..I just wonder if it is salvageable with the clay system or not..

Its the process of using a specially formulated bar of clay to remove imperfections in your paint.

It puts its right paw in,
It takes its right paw out,
Aredub picks it up and shakes it all about.
He puts it in the blender and he turns it all around,
That's how the cat went down.

EEK! Cats walking on my car! <Shudder>

I think luigi and tiger are doing a tour on a black/pearl svx somewhere in kentucky. Their sharping their claws as we speak.

cats!

Now this is funny.
my neighbor has serveral cats.. More then I can count.
the cats KNOW that somewhere over in my yard lives 2 BIG dogs. so they only come over on rare occasions.

I've noticed cats of no certain breed know a stylish car to sit on when they see it.. Call it a compliment..
dragon flies and bats seem to like it as well..

NOthing like drive'n down the road being admired by a dragon fly.
Yeah I tripped to..

THe bats are another story.. Bats seem to like all of my cars. As I drive around at night I see them diving around. One person said that was ODD ( bats) I guess so...

Just something I've noticed over the years.

Birds are attracted to all of my cars. I hit one with my antenna in my old car
and my bumper
and my window
and on my window/wiper arm in my svx.

Chris,
Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against cats in general. Just ones that climb on my car.

I actually had to rub out claw marks from the plastic panel under my pass'r's side window once, from a cat "peeling out" as it jumped onto my roof. ARGH!

Speaking of bats, I was driving down the road in my Suzuki Sidekick one night with my driver's window down (and the convertible top up, no less), when I heard a "thump" on my rearview mirror and felt a fluttering at my feet. I figured I'd just picked up one of those gigantic "Tobacco Moths." I kind of leaned down and started swatting in the footwell, when, suddenly, the creature darted up just in front of my face. I saw the bat's silhouette against the moonlit sky, just as it zipped out the window. I nearly made puddles in the car.
