If the existing gaskets stick and the manifold has to be fully removed things like PCV valve, YES
IRIS o-ring installation, YES
small hose upgrade to viton material etc. NO
Worth while? Anymore suggestions?
You are better off going with new rubber hoses than Viton as Viton is pretty soft and can collapse under heat and vacuum.

Steve
Sorry to have to correct Mr. OT here. I already have the phenolic material in my garage, so I'm going to have to pass this time.

So sorry Stevesby, but Bill is getting on in years and he forgets things.
So after his oatmeal and a good nap I will remind him of this issue!
And they call me Old Tom.

Does that put it over the top for necessary orders to get this going? Hope so.

Most definitely replace the PCV valve if the IM is coming out!

I recently (2 months ago) replaced all my vacuum rubber hoses under the hood with silicone hoses and have not had any issues. Ambient temperatures have been 70*F to -15*F and under the hood upwards of +250*F.

I recommend this as it will not harden, become brittle and break. I'm not having issues with it collapsing under vacuum as I made sure to order hose with a lot of body (3mm). The ID is 4mm (5/32") for both the vaccuum hose and the windshield washer fluid hose. Although my hands and fingers are fairly large I'm lucky that they're very skinny and was able to replace all the hoses under the manifold w/out removing it.
It wasn't easy. I was being gentle but still broke EVERY single nipple under the intake manifold off in the process. Thank God for super glue & JB weld!

Order 20 feet of silicone hose. You should have ~3 feet leftover if you do all hoses. You'll be set for another 20 years

Hey everyone-
I have some test materials coming, and just got an injector stack to test the fitup with, so things will be moving along very soon.

I will cut the test material and check the CNC programed part for proper fit, and install that set on my car. Then I will get the real stuff and make the sets for you who have purchased them.

Won't be long...

The IM spacers you will be producing will be for the bottom of the injector stacks, correct? Or will they be for the portion between the intake manifold and injector stacks? I believe the latter would be pointless as they won't block the heat transfer from the head. I just want to make sure as I'm going to be ordering gaskets soon, and don't want to have an moment when I have everything taken apart.

Would you say (for those of us that pre-ordered) that we will have our items under the Christmas tree?

Re: Phenolic Intake Manifold and TB spacers for the SVX/EG33 coming soon

These spacers go between the head and the lower side of the injector stacks.

This will give the max insulating effect and 500-600 HP gain at least

I'll have to check with Santa about the delivery timeframe.
