Bad Luck

I just replaced my hood the other day and was changing out my right hand turn signal today; the lens was cracked. I had the new turn signal sitting on top of the engine with the hood up and then the wind decided to blow causing my hood to shut, breaking the lens of the new turn signal and putting a dent in my new hood. I should have known not to trust those struts.

Re: Bad Luck

Ouch!

You may want to check out some new retrofitted hood struts while you are re-re-order that corner light.

Let me know if we can help you with any of that. Good Luck

Re: Bad Luck

I had that happen too. I had a brand new hood, and had the cap for the power steering fluid laying on the intake manifold. The hood fell, and I ended up with a nice dimple. Mike621 gets to look at it every day, now.

Re: Bad Luck

Ouch.... those are sad stories...

Are they both beyond PDR on the hoods? Seems like a good paintless dent repair man would be able to at least make it less of a scar...

sorry to hear about a busted light fixture, though, too.
