I'd remove the wooden pallets from the back before I lost my head!

Re: Splinter's 6 Speed Swap

According to This thread it's 06-07

And the transmission I have is definitely from an 06 and it's definitely a step down center trans.

Does that mean all 06s are step downs? Not necessarily. But the one I have is.

Re: Splinter's 6 Speed Swap

My SVX isn't getting much love because of the Impreza hogging all my time

If I were to put this up for sale, would anyone be interested?

Re: Splinter's 6 Speed Swap

Whole car.

I'd probably want around $6000 for it (Canadian)

It's a US spec car tho

Re: Splinter's 6 Speed Swap

I wish I had money.

A 5-speed claret for sale in another thread, now this black 6-speed converted car...

I want a manual-gearbox converted SVX, and ideally a 6-speed just like this one. But I don't have money.

Unless you want to trade... I love my Legacy, but the though crosses my mind to make a deal.

Re: Splinter's 6 Speed Swap

Sorry, I didn't see it...

I'd consider a straight across trade of my Legacy for your SVX and a little Forester or Outback slogger, or something... Those two would probably come fairly close to 14-15K private party resale for my Legacy.

Straight across Legacy for SVX would be hard to justify to the wife, as she remembers how much we paid for it.

Re: Splinter's 6 Speed Swap

I'd trade you my SVX and a 98 Impreza RS25 for your Legacy!

Re: Splinter's 6 Speed Swap

Well, the wife says no more long distance car deals for a while... plus she likes the Legacy's leather heated seats too much to let them go. Also the car needs new struts and probably a new intercooler...

But I have to ask... you have both of Subaru's coupes... and seemingly quite good examples of them. Why would you be so willing to sell them?

They are certainly nice cars, if the pictures are accurate indicators, and it sounds like you do good work and take care of them...

If my wife's mind changes, I'll let you know.

Because I've got this, and she's a very jealous girl.
