New- Few questions

I came across this car on the internet and I really like the look of it. Sounds like a fairly reliable car with good performance. The only thing that scares me is the transmission and possibility of not finding parts.

The only car for sale in my area is a 1996 with 120k miles, and the asking price is $4,700. Have most of the transmission problems been fixed by the 96 model? Or should I be very careful of it? The other thing I am worried about is because it is such a rare car parts might be really expensive or hard to find. I searched and read yesterday that a windshield is $1,000+. My budget isn't very big right now, and I won't be able to dumb thouasands of dollars into the car each year. Is this car expensive to maintain?

Apart from a few problems, this is a very reliable car. As far as parts go, if you look at this forum there are always parts out there for sale. If you are finding it hard to find a part, there is usually someone on this network who can get it for you. Only one thing to be aware of. Once you buy one you want more

Yeah, I've noticed from all of the posters on here. I promise I'll keep it to 2.

The transmisions recieved qhite a few minor revisions after 1994 that prevent premature failure, but keep in mind its still a 10 year old transmission with 120k on it, you can still run into some issues

being a member here sure helps keep the repair bills down, that for sure! Welcome to the site
