STi side feed injectors

Has anyone looked closely at the STi side feed injectors. Specifically from the 05 and I think the 04. They are very close to the nismo injectors. I wonder if they would make good replacements. Anyone tried? Nismo injectors are rediculously expensive.

I think someone tried and they did not work, but do not quote me on that...

The top rubber on the hold down may need to be shaved to make it fit. Nismos are rediculously expensive, and require clips that are difficult to find.

1) I do not know.
2)They do not fit.
3) I can get you clips that fit for $5.50 each plus 6% tax each plus shipping.

Did you try the ones in your photo or did the ones you try look like the ones in my photo? The ones in your photo would not fit. The ones in my photo might.

Hey guys. I don't really need injectors. I'm all set with 550 nismo injectors. My HP goals remain 400+ WHP. I'm just researching for the community. STi injectors are expensive too, when they are new. But my buddy just sold 4 for $150, so for $300 you could get 8 and have some spares, or sell them to another SVXer. With the prices we pay on everything else it would be nice to have some inexpensive options. Also, Tom, if you are going for over 800 WHP you are going to need bigger injectors than the 740s, and there are a lot available for the STi. 370s are pretty useless, unless you are turbocharging a stock motor. We all know how that usually ends up.

Re: STi side feed injectors

Just a bump. The Sti Injectors will bolt into our fuel rails. You can find 820cc injectors if you need more fueling, but remember, you need to make appropriate changes with your engine management to use them.

Re: STi side feed injectors

I know this thread is specifically discussing the Sti injectors, however,...I remember (YT) posting about how the stock injectors weren't even at their max (maybe using 3/4th's of their capacity) with his current setup (the setup that got YT the 12.99 1/4 mile). So is it really even necessary to "upgrade" to larger injectors? Or to phrase the question a little better, depending on one's desired hp goals, at what point and which type of larger injectors beneficial?

Re: STi side feed injectors

If anyone has "sources" on where to get some STi 820cc or Nismo 740cc injectors please let me know, I am looking to acquire a set of 6.

I also can trade in the 370cc injectors if someone wants to run ECUTune Stage 2 chip.

Thanks in advance,
-Sov13t.
