Hey :)

I got an '94 SVX in July (my first car) but only just found these forums a couple days ago while looking for a custom sub-enclosure tutorial.

Anyways I decided to sign up and join the community so I'm just saying hi

Oh and this is my baby:

Welcome. Nice car and wheels. I think you'll find a lot of helpfull info here, and some weird stuff.

Yeah I've seen your sick setup while looking for ideas but during the winter I'll be snowboarding and need room for my gear so I've decided on putting two subs in the rear corners of the trunk to save for as much space as possible. I'm not going totally overboard 'cause I'm on a budget Just would like a little base. What you've got there though is totally awesome lol.

And ya, Nexus, I just paid a speeding ticket today :P

Funny story though. I only just discovered the Power mode yesterday. I was going to pass someone and low and behold I must've tapped the accelerater 'cause all of a sudden this Power light comes on on the dash, I feel the car downshift and I take off like a bat out of hell. I nearly **** myself. Was the coolest thing since sliced bread.

Yeah pricey is an understatement lol. I intend to do it myself for under $50. We'll see how that goes as I've never touched MDF, fibreglass and know nothing about car audio :P I'm documenting the entire process.

If you are looking for just a little bass, not enough to rattle the windows three doors down, but enough to sound good in the car, you could mount some 6 or 8 inch woofers in the rear deck, along with a port, and basically turn your trunk into a sub box. That will sound great, and they make some pretty decent subs for just that purpose, and you can mount everything, including the amp, to the rear deck. (by "rear deck" I mean the tray thing under the rear window, where the stock speakers are)

Did you happen to buy it off of a guy in/from Bronx NY? I found this thread when I was cleaning out my subscripted threads.
