What??

"LEFT SIDE RACK AND PINION"? The rack and pinion comes as a unit with tie rod ends. While there are component parts, I doubt that you have the expertise to rebuild and in any case the parts are not "left" and "right" except for tie rod ends.

Are you sure it is the steering that is the problem? Is it the rack or the power steering pump? If it is the rack you should look for the entire assembly either on Ebay, from junk yards or Dayle from Motorsports sells them on here.

There are two different types--speed sensing and electronically controlled. I would guess that yours is electronically controlled.

Well, I took it out of the garage yesterday to drive it around since Its been sitting and it started smoking real bad. Took it to the shop, from the top they thought it was a valve cover gasket. Upon further review, once on the lift, they said the left, rack and pinion boot seal was bad and the boot was full of fluid. Which, was causing the smoking. It was driping down on my exhaust and burning off. I did check on Ebay for the pinion set, and found some on the net as well. Just wanted a good connection on the part. I've been seeing them for around $300.
