1000.- for a SS mandrel bent full exhaust is a VERY reasonable price. $500 would result in a zero profit.

profit? $500 for a complete system inclduing all mufflers/cats would result in my buying half of his exhaust system for him just cause I'm a nice guy....I'm not that nice. lol

There are just a lot of parts to this system. It was designed with no sacrifices made for the sake of cost.

No, I don't think so; they charge so much for the bending I doubt it will be worth it to get not stainless.

I will try to make a cheaper system though which will have the same tubes front of the crossover muffler, have a dual in single out muffler instead of the crossover, and then a single pipe back to the factory muffler. That aught to put an all stainless, non rattling, non buzzing, high performing, quiet exhaust within the means of most SVX'ers.

The dual exhaust I have planned out is really intended for the few who don't have to make sacrifices.

Annoyingly enough the single system will not be able to use the same pipes forward of the center muffler because the center spacing on the inlets is different. So no economies of scale can be shared between the two systems

Put me on that list of being interested in this dual exhaust set-up. Let me know as I am currently looking for an upgraded exhaust system for my SVX and will be ready to purchase whenever it is that I am able to locate a good system.

If I can get the complete package together for under $1k how many people would want it right away?

Please be real. I don't want to go shell out for a bunch more systems than people are actually ready to buy. If I can't recoup my cash from getting the batch made it will hurt other projects so only speak up if you actually intend to buy and will be able to buy 2 weeks from now.

I'm in Florida and for now I'm specifically asking only about who would want to buy in two weeks. The way this will work is I'll take my car and all the parts into the shop with the cnc mandrel bender and have them make the exhaust for my car. They will have to do a die change to do that. I'll have them make a batch of the mandrel bent tubing necessary to put together however many systems people want while they have the right dies on the mandrel bender.

If I can put together a good size batch I may be able to get them to make extra sets and hold them in their stock so we can order as we need without the expense of a die change for each set. The tubing has to be done in batches or it will be too expensive and I'm not going to hold a bunch in stock.
