My SVX scares me

Normally I'm a docile driver. I want to wring utility and economy from my car. I want it to last. Suffice it to say I've seen the POWER light once (had to be sure it worked, you know). But every now and then a situation arises that begs me to mat the gas, like this morning, as I overtook two trucks on an otherwise vacant highway. All I can say is, though she may be getting on up in years and miles, when it comes time to go, the old gal's still got it. Startling. That's one pleasing snarl from the engine bay when she's angry, too. I shook my head and chuckled on into town. Nice car.

On ramps are my vice. Particularly new ones on nice concrete highways.
That boxer 6 sounds so much better then my 97 acura. =)

My SVX makes me hate my 4 cylinder Outbacks. My 2001 is soooooooooo slow. I wish the SVX could have faster acceleration. I drive safely and only go a few miles above the speedlimit.

I LOVE onramps! Especially the one by Summit racing so I can let all the other car fanatics hear the boxer open up. Plus, I have 4.44 times more fun doing it than most people.

Regarding the "snarl".... You haven't heard anything until you drive one with the Stebro Exhaust

From 3k up the SVX w/Magnaflow sounds almost identical to the 997 Carrera. I LOVE IT!

My cars(stock svx, 4.44 svx, mx-3 v6) are too slooow for me.....

I do enjoy the H6 when it opens up..., my v6 is not bad too.

Due to the gas price and mpg( 12mpg in town), I just occasionally drive my svxi...

I tailgate porsches on onramps in my 240 ;-)

track built suspension, fat meaty tires, 250 horsepower in a car that weighs less than a shoe, and all the boost in the world mean i can hit 60 in about 5 seconds flat.

4 cylinder turbo driving the back wheels is fine for me, but goddamn, that h-6 makes a crazy roar when you rev it. almost as scary as my 240 :-)
