I would guess we got around 30cm of snow.
I can't wait for snow! This in-between weather is driving me crazy!

The rain has started up again... been off and on all day. Temperature is dropping so we should have some nice new skating rinks in the morning. Good thing I got all my shoppng done. Have enough coffee and choc.chip muffins to last me a few days

We got a few inches today.

Funny thing is people were sliding into ditches all over the place yesterday, when there was no snow. Damn tourists. xDDD

That black ice stuff is tricky, no?

Oh, yeah... I almost spun out last winter in the SVX on a fairly straight country road with only fields on either side (there are no really straight roads in Germany! ) It dipped down into a small valley, had no gravel shoulder (Germans don't believe in them!) and deep ditches in some places. Lots of snow had fallen the previous day, but now the temperature had risen. The road had been plowed and salted, but it was just beginning to rain, so I guess the rain had washed away most of the salt. I knew that it would all freeze within the next half hour, but home was only 15 minutes away.

I was feeling pretty confident though cautious, was having no trouble going at about 25km/hr when I came around a very gentle gradual bend and saw cars littering both sides of the road in the ditches. Must have been at least 10 there, plus cars crawling at maybe 1km/hr on the road ahead. I put extremely light pressure on my brakes and immediately felt the car begin to slide. Got it corrected, plowed my right wheels into the edge of a small snowbank to help slow down, and managed to avoid hitting anything or anyone. Took the next local side road that everyone else seemed to be avoiding, (unplowed but had tractor tracks that had packed the snow a bit), stayed on the little local roads and had no more trouble getting home.

Later I found out that the cops had closed that road just a few minutes after I passed through. Local famers came out with their tractors to help pull the 20+ cars out of the ditches and fields. Made a nice front page photo for the local community newspaper the next day.

I love the SVX!

Meh, that's nothing

Went down to -25°C last night (-12°F for those who can't convert)

Tomorrow we're probably going to get rain.

the wheather sucks IMO, not enough snow to ski or have any fun in, just a little powdering and annoying winds.

We got rain today. Temps crawled above 30F, and everyone was still driving as if the ground was covered in ice.

Be safe and all but sweet haysoos, 35 in a 50? Gimme a gas pedal.

Good grief.

We got some 6 inches or so yesterday and I saw a hummer H2 lose control all over the place at the end of my neighborhood.

That was gratifying.

Yeah, the cold weather is upon us. This morning I went out to vacuum the car, and had to come back in to put on a T-shirt. WAYYY too cold for a bareback now, and probably will stay that way until March.

I'm sorry.... I just couldn't resist the temptation.

To make you feel better, it's a lie.

I never did go back in to get a T-shirt. I just noted to myself it was getting a little chilly.

We probably lost half the snow we just received. It was +6°C yesterday. All this after I raised the suspension and put the snow tires back on.
