Well looky at what I found

I know someone else 'found' this at Target a week or so ago, but it seems as if nobody else has been able to locate the critter. I was just at Meijer's and my girlfriend walked right up and found a dozen.

http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/Beav/1930.gif

It's usable as is, but I'm thinking a small piece of vinyl on the backside would pretty it up a bit. They had them in black and gray, and they work great! $4.99. If someone finds them in tan I'd trade with ya (I bought a black.) For those of you that don't have Meijer's available I could probably be sweet-talked into rounding some up and mailing them, but now that you know what you're looking for I would hope you'd look locally first. Just let me know by PM.

BTW - my car came with a Stebro muff on it, about a year old I'd say. Not my cup-o-tea so the OE is back on. I haven't looked, but the last I heard they were pricey. I'm not looking to make a killing but if I'm going to give it away I'll wait and do something creative in July. In other words if ya want it figure about half price of whatever listing you can find, plus ya gotta pay shipping or pick it up.

Pick me, Pick me, Pick me

Beav,
I would like the Stebro system and would be happy to pay for shipping or pick-up in July at the meet. Then again a long road trip would be nice!

Just come up with the cheapest price (for a new one) you can find on the web and send me the addy. Then it's yours for half the price. That is unless someone wants to start a bidding war....heheheh

There may be someone who sells this for less, but here is the address for the Stebro system.

http://infoweb.magi.com/~andypet/svx.htm

Do you have the muffler AND the pipe from the cat or just the muffler. How many miles on it? I'd rather not start a bidding war, but it is yours to sell.

Unhappy Beav's muffler

I'd love to buy your muffler, but at the same time I sure do not want to start an auction with another member.
Is anyone else selling Stebro/KC/Motosports WHSE exhaust system?

This is just the muffler, and does not include the center section.

I really didn't mean to start a bidding war, it was a tease....

BTW

...the center pipe on my car was replaced with a fairly straight pipe and a glass pack. Once the OE muff was back on you couldn't tell the difference from stock, sound or perrformance.

Out of curiousity, do you know what the glass pack and straight pipe cost the previous owner?

My resonator is resonating...

Having spent a few years in the employ of Midas (but not recent years) I'd be certain that it's less than a $100. Glass packs normally go for less than $30. A stick of pipe costs the dealer about $3, sells for $15 plus $x per bend. A couple clamps and some labor to install...

Hmmm... Maybe it'll be worth a visit to my mechanic or to the local Midas...

Thx.

$45.00 US, total, for an 18" glasspack, at a local custom muffler shop, last summer. The local national chain shop refused to consider it. I don't think the clerk understood the difference between a catalytic converter and a resonator.
