Hello

Well, I'm new here and wanted to say hello.
I went to check out a SVX today to get as a second car.
I'm hoping that the AWD SVX will get me around better in the snow than my current car,
which will go under the wrench to become a ~400 rwhp TwinTurbo, once I no longer need it as a DD.
Here are a few pics of it.

The SVX was in pretty good shape, 1 owner, 148,000 miles on the clock, engine ran smooth, trans shifted well, no rust, but,
the rear wheel bearings were shot and it had plenty of dings.
So I'm thinking about it.

Peace

Sweet Z dude, Welcome to the site,You should check out the drag racing met thread on Aug 19th at Attco. It would give ya a good chance to meet some of us.

Sounds like that SVx should make a good winter car, just check out under the car, maker sure the subframes and spindals are not really rusty. It could make jobs like changing the wheel bearings a hugh pain in the ass.

Thanks for the pointers Subafreak, that is the type of stuff I like to know when I go check a car, it should be added to the FAQ on things to check before used SVX purchase, as I felt that what is there is very general.
I'd love to meet some of you, but the national Z convention is the 15th - 19th in Syracuse and I've already signed up for that . I'll definitely keep an eye out here for other events in NY, NJ though, as I enjoy meeting fellow auto enthusiasts, be it Z, SVX, or what ever, wheels and a motor and I'm in. I've been very impressed by some of the things I've found here, came across a blown SVX some place, WOW!

Peace
