Super Justy

I'm sorry - this week has just really shown me what an amazing little car the Justy is.

Yesterday our power was out for 6.5 hours, and we were concerned it would go out again, so I decided to get some more firewood. Where I found it was north of Ann Arbor, back on a dirt road that really hadn't seen a plow. I'll abbreviate the story.

The Justy had to haul a quarter cord of wood.

Uphill.

In snow.

BACKWARDS.

Look up in the shy... It's a bird, it's a plane, it's SUPER JUSTY;
naw, it's just a flying squirrel.

By day SUPER JUSTY is a mild manered game code writer disguised as Mr Pockets...but should the need arise; he is able to carry 1/4 cord of wood up snow covered trails backwards.

Is he able to bend steel in his bare hands? Can he stop bullets with his chest? Can he leap tall buildings in a single bound? Can he see through brick walls (EEK..pervert!) ? Can he uphold Truth, Justice and the American way?

Naw; he can't do any of these things.. but he can say C V V T real fast 10 times and knows what it stands for!!

I agree - it's not an attractive car. And at 73hp, we're not talking a drag-racer, here.

BUT it only costs me $7 in gas a week instead of $20+ for the SVX. Tires are $25 apiece, compared to $120+ for the SVX. I don't have to worry about where I park it. I wouldn't dare haul firewood in the SVX.

It's a different car, but loveable just the same.

ok i can accept that.

my friend wants to take his two door awd justy and paint the subaru wrc blue and put wide fenders on it so it can hold bigger tires. he basically wants it to look something like the P1.

can you believe this retard?? oh and i am completely serious.

i can understand your appreciation for simplicity that works but this guy is going a little far.

Oh, I am shocked at such things. Anyone who would take a stock automobile and modify it into something that it wasn't meant to be modified into, is a retard.

Case in point: true dual Magnaflow exhaust, K&N filter, 17" Enkei RS6 wheels, Bridgestone Potenza RE730 225/45/17 rubber, zinc plated cross-drilled rotors with yellow painted brake calipers. B&M tranny cooler rated at 19,000 GVW. GC springs and Koni strut inserts installed and the car is lowered two inches all the way around!!

Terrible, just terrible! (I haven't given you your quota of "crap" lately -- and you're just too much fun to pick on.)

(sorry, I first "edited" your post with the above info -- accidently hit the edit instead of quote button)

i know you are being humorous.......

but on a serious note there is a huge difference between modifying a SVX and a Justy. you see the SVX actually has performance potential.

Right, but you're still turning it into something it's not.

Ah, shall we get into a discussion about "relativity." Two words: Performance; Potential. What exactly is potential? If potential is described as "possibility" yes, the justy has the possibility of performing beyond its stock roots. Performance? 75 HP could be considered to be "Performance" by some, and in increase of 25% would be a significant increase in performance for the average 75 HP, modification enthusiast. It's all relative -- one man's trash . . . as they say. Some lawn mowers have been modified to become screaming machines . . . relatively. It all depends upon your starting point, and no matter where you start, there is generally a *potential* to make your vehicle *perform* at a higher level.

Sorry. I'm in a kind of "philosophical" mood today.

How-to, you're so full of crap. What kinda dumb explanation is that? Get your head out of your butt and speak english! Sheesh, what a whacko!

NOTE: To those who are unaware, I am also "How-to." I have to sign on under that name in order to add things to the "How-to" locker. I had posted the previous message, forgetting that I was still signed on as "How-to." Please forgive the oversight and the subsequent faux flaming that ensued.

Pocket Justy

Mr. Pockets is as fond of his Justy as I am of my Swift. I just wish it was AWD too! I have been carrying sacks of wood pellets for our stove in mine, but I haven't tried it BACKWARDS yet. Blizzaks get it through the snow just fine...I also laugh as I pass gas pumps... Don
