I just called Liberty Subaru and was told that I had to replace the entire control arm at ~$240

Any other ideas to get just the bushings?

I read somewhere that those bushings are liquid filled. What is wrong with bushings on your SVX so that you think they need replacing?

Well, I have a wobble in my suspension when braking or if I hit a bump or even now if I get much over 80 mph.

Last night I jacked up the front end and pulled the wheels off. The only thing I could find that didn't seem right is the amount of play in the drivers control arm. I can move the whole thing in and out (laterally) by hand. On the passenger side I have to get a pry bar in there to get any movement between the control arm and the body.

Crap... I just called a local dealership with a parts guy that knows older Soobs. He confirmed that the CA's are NOT rebuildable and that the Bushings are not available from Subaru.

Anybody have any other ideas?? Thoughts??

I found a local parts car to get these off of. I was able to swap them and have both cars back on the ground in under 2 hours
A large portion of that time was trying to get the rear Control Arm Bolt free. I got it turned out no problem, but the flange on the bolt head was hitting the trianglular bracket at the rear of the crossmember. After about 30 minutes of various size pry bars and hammers. Ben suggested I take off the bracket. :duh: That did it

Driving is so much better now. Although there is still a little bit of a wobble... I think I may need to do the other side?? Or maybe my struts are shot (Koni time)
