SVX M-Car Last Post

I received a telephone call from Danny Strutinsky of RAC last night.
They finally reached an agreement with General Motors. He told me that GM will buy the technology outright. He also stated that agreement calls for everyone to sign non-disclosure security forms. GM will take possession of the Corola-M and the Taurus-M. Ray will not have to give up his SVX but he will have to convert it back to it's original specs. Danny said he's real happy about that.

As part of the agreement, I will have to sign the non-disclosure forms. So this will be my last post on, or mention of the subject.
Danny said that along with the forms, he is mailing me a check for my work on the project. Danny, Ray and Chuck received quite a tidy sum from GM. I'm very happy for them and their families.

I'm glad that GM bought this technology. It seems that the 'sleeping giant' is finally awakening. I was born in 1944 and grew up in the 50's & 60's. The US car industry was king then and America was the greatest manufacturer in the world. The US car industry & America are not the great manufacturer that this country once was. It and America grew fat and lazy (much like me). GM has not had great cars (other than Corvette) for about 25 years. I hope that this agreement returns GM to some of its former glory. We only have 2 US car manufacturers left, GM & Ford. I would like to see the US auto industry take back some of the market share that it let slide away. Plus, I would like to see GM & Ford kick some Japanese, Korean, & soon Chinese butt; and hurt them where it counts, in the wallet.

The travesty of 9-11 woke up America. I hope that GM wakes up too.

So much for my patriotic rantings.

HI Larry III,

I hope too that GM produces this vechicle too. I have heard stories in the past of large companies buying up good technology just so that THEY would not have to compete. Do you have any way to know for sure if this will be different? How long before you would know one way or the other?

John

Is this Patented or Trade secret? If it's a patent we can look it up for ourselves. And altho' there's no requirement to produce... the info is "out there". It's when these Companies buy a "Trade Secret" that the technology can disappear forever.

What's the story LarryIII
