Rotors
After 1 1/2 years, my brakes are finally beginning to pump the brake pedal a little (and slightly the steering wheel). Last time I replaced the fronts (turned out I didn't need them!) with some Canadian cross-drilled rotors (poor man. quality - one missing two holes!). It was the rears. Replaced with stock rotors from Autozone ($70 ea). Both good for 1 1/2 years (about 30K miles). Now I've got a little brake movement again. My question is this:
CAN I CROSS DRILL THE REAR STOCK ROTORS MYSELF? [I drilled the two missing holes in the front rotor with no apparent problem.] Are they large enough (enough metal?) to drill about 8 to 12 holes in a symmetrical pattern. Or would the loss of metal be worse than the added cooling? SOME THOUGHTS ?
