Post 97 grill missing

Hello all,
I recently made a trade with another member here - my 92 grill for his 97. The 97 grill never showed up although UPS swears it was delivered to my porch on 11/21. It sat on my porch for about 20 minutes in our quiet cul-de-sac before my wife got home. Apparently in this time it was taken by someone.
I'm not sure why anyone around here would lift a grill for a car that there are maybe 10 others in the county but its gone. I've had many deliverys left on the porch including some very expensive items and never had a problem. I talked to the UPS guy who actually made the delivery today and he is sure it came to the porch he was standing on.
Just asking everyone to shoot me a PM if they see a used black 97 grill come up for auction with an origination in SC. I'll be watching ebay.

In the meantime, I bid $5 on that ugly little mesh grill on ebay for something to fill the hole while I wait for UPS to sort out the insurance.

Immortal,

If the porch is open (not enclosed) look in the surrounding bushes.
Next , find out if your UPS man ( or someone in his family) has an SVX.
Finally, check the wife. She may be trying to suprise you in a weird way on Christmas (never ever underestimate the way a woman thinks).

Grill

I think that UPS covers insurance on all packages up to $100. After that you gotta pay. Since they didn't deliver it to ya personally then I would say they're liable for at leat up to $100.

Matt... that's WEIRD!

There aren't any other SVXes in the area other than that claret one down in Anderson and AbdominalSnowman's pearly in Clemson.

Let me know if/when you find it... I'm always up for hunting thieves and putting smack down.

P.S. Let's get everybody together for dinner later this week... Thurs. or Friday maybe? Everybody in the Greenville area... I'll pin down a date/time and announce it here and on Nasioc.com (formerly i-club).

Immortal,

Did you check the wife's car? She may have put it on hers thinking you would never look there!

Oh, and did I say "Good Luck"?

Yeah, I checked the wife's car and then promptly stole her grill and put it on mine Hers will be in the shop for a tranny leak for a little while so I can at least have it for maybe a week. Of course, she'd driving my car while hers is in the shop and I'm driving the beater toyota.

Porch is open, I did a couple laps around the house and checked the drainage pond too, also did a few laps around the subdivision to see if it was in anyone elses yard.

Dinner this week sounds good - after the ice storm thats supposed to nail us calms down. I'll drive all over in snow, but I stay at home when the road is a sheet of ice.
