Not bad as long as it is not that G__ awful design with all the sharp angles that has been floating around the web.

Thanks for posting that. I hadn't seen it till you mentioned it then I went looking. I guess all I can say about it is they have time to fix it...I hope. Or, maybe it'll look better in person. I also found a coca cola svx. Anyone know the story on this body kit?

I think Subaru is slowly coming out of a design slump but, doubt an SVX replacement will come close to our thoughts of what an evolutionary replacement should look like.
Personally, another Italian design like this would be nice. [IMG][/IMG]

That's a much cleaner design! Gets my vote.
For my tastes, Subaru is adding too many extra lines these days and they seem awkward. Or, maybe my tastes are just outdated. |

Re: 2017 SVX, have you seen this?
I was in the service department at the Subaru Dealership in Mississauga Ontario a couple of weeks ago to check on the availability of wheel bearings. I asked the Service Rep if he'd heard anything about the 2017 SVX yet. All I got was a blank look. "First I've heard of it." was his eventual comment. He thought it was just a rumour, until I whipped out the phone, and showed him what Google came back with using "2017 SVX" as the search phrase. He seemed genuinely surprised.
This seems as a legitimate rumour as any.. http://www.torquenews.com/1084/two-r...flagship-brand Personally, I'll hold my enthusiasm in check until my butt cheeks are caressed by the leather driver's seat on one I can test beat. Oops, I mean test drive. We here are a unique part of the 2017 SVX market. We would be judging the 2017 ( if it even makes it to the showroom floor), by a different criteria than the target market. We have significant personal experience with the original, we couldn't not use that as part of our judgement of a new one if we tried. The original was described as being a cross between a Porsche and a Jag, circa early '90s'. If the 2017 feels like the same cross, just from this millennium, and my cheeks approve, the cheque book will be coming out. I wonder if they'll do any in the original colours? Matching burgundy ones, 20 years apart would look pretty cool in the driveway. Might also boost the resale value of the original ones too... Maybe I won't sell the '94 . |
