Re: Brilliant BMW owners

As a resident BMW owner, I'd say I'm offended by your statements against BMW owners.... but I'm not. A lot of them ARE idiots

I like to think I'm the exception that proves the rule?

It is more than obvious you like cheaply made fake plastic trees as it matches the orange peel paint job of that glorious $25k car that can't touch a car designed when around the time your piss started to burn with your so called "excellence". What intrests me most about your ignornant "I'm not a hick because I can only see West Virginia from the porch when I squint to look through the shot gun sights" is simply how much you should really be drinking that piss of yours. It would do wonders for the swiss cheese upstairs. You could always try penicillin. It will at the very least stop the burn!

This just might be the first internet squabble that is entertaining. And I doubt either party would ever report the other's post. But I have my bet in on who starts the angry name calling first.....

Re: Brilliant BMW owners

Yea it's kinda hilarious.

In all honesty though, and having driven one, I like the crossfire a lot. I'm still planning to get one eventually.

I've never driven a Jag and I know virtually nothing about them.

I've driven quite a few, but nothing recent. I drove everything from XK120's to XJ12's back in the 70's when I fixed them for a living. I knew I'd never be able to afford one: initial price was too high, and the used cars cost a fortune in repairs, which they needed constantly. Then they'd become collectible and the price would shoot up again.

The XK120 was a very nice drive. E-Types never really floated my boat from behind the wheel, and they were a serious ***** to work on, but ohhh to look at them was heaven. V12 E's were fun in a teenage way, stomp the gas and toss the ass. I think my favorite drive was the XJS, a 12-cylinder British Camaro. The short wheelbase XJ12's were kind of fun too.

Somewhere in the 90's a buddy had an XJ6 and loved it. He took my wife and I to dinner one night in it. He had to open the passenger door from the inside because the outside handle didn't work. For a large car, the interior sure was tight. At least it was reliable transportation, or so he said.

depends on the year...by 94 they had all the bugs worked out (but still had electrical problems) then changed the body style...95 had quite a few bugs ...mid 96 and 97 where great. they finally dropped the lucas electrical system in 98 but experimented with aluminum cylinder walls and flyby wire...dumb and dumber.

I worked on jags for about 4 years. The X type had sooooo many recalls the first two years they came out with an "enhancement package" It consisted of 2 new modules,a transmission, some insulation, and various other "improvements".

Way too much plastic in the dash for the price. The super V8 which is a supercharged VDP and the S Type R are the best imo.
