Manual button disconnected?

I was recently messing around with my interior and had to change the bulb that lights up the shifter. When i got it undone i somehow pulled the two wires that were connected to the shifter, they operate the manual button. I tried soldering them with no luck, the leads were so tiny that it doesent appear that i will be able to get them connected again. Other than not being able to run the tranny diagnostics, could anything else be affected by just putting it back together and leaving that non functional?

Re: Manual button disconnected?

Did the same thing on my old 92 perlie (now my son's car) and it ran just fine without it for years...no longer matters as he converted it to a 5 speed...but don't worry your car will be fine without it.
