back when subaru still knew how to make a grill and chin. But your model has the balls that the US models never got in that body.

....I may be painting one of my legacy Orange

He has an original JDM STI V Type-R Coupe, thats a pic of it...
The comment i'm sure has arisen due to the recent bashing of the new body style

Darren has, you mean??

I did not realise that. Those RSK pics are of the crashed car he is shipping. The gearbox swap will be from that one to the SVX.

I love the older TVR's..... I am currently working on buying a Triumph GT6+ and converting it over to a Jaguar 5.3HE V12. Ive owned a few jags with the V12 and really love them. This wont be the first conversion as there are a few in Europe. But with the lines of the GT6 and the beautiful roar of the Jag V12, I foresee allot of fun.

That sounds like fun, but I'm wondering if the European conversions work very well.

The GT6 is beautiful of line, like you say. However the Jag V12 mill is possibly one of the biggest and heaviest lumps you could possibly shoe-horn into it. Is this wise??

I mean in the sense of weight distribution. You will end up with a really powerful car that is nose-heavy. You should shoot for 50-50 weight distribution for good handling.

You will probably need to move the Jag mill back into your lap to achieve that.

Why not put a straight 6 of some kind into it?

Joe

true... but the shear fact of having a vehicle with that power is awesome. And they seem to be working (GT6, Spitfire, TR6)... you do have to move the firewall back. A Jag V12 in heat sounds so much better then a V8 small or big block. When ever I would go full throttle onto the highway people move over and those off the highway and filling stations look. Just the sound alone raises your adrenaline. For me the only thing that even comes close is being mid way on the fence with two nitro-methane guzzling Top Fuel dragsters blazing by. If people haven't heard it before then its not easy to explain, it is something one has to experience. Then again I was raised on the race track as my dad and his friends were heavily into dragracing and worked at speed shops that also had semipro cars they ran.

Everything from the ignition system to any purposely under designed intake/exhaust/sensors/etc will be removed and replaced. Megasquirt, MSD distributorless ignition system, electric water pumps, are just a few things to be replaced. After all is said and done I will most likely grow bored with it and then find something else to build.
