i got rid of mine. but thats because it was covered in oil. and i dont really like those things. extra plastic bugs me

Mine was also covered in oil. That's why I took it off.

It wasn't long before I realized where the oil goes when your cover is gone.

Yeah, its like all of a sudden the car wants to die . If I didn't have such great reflexes, it would have been a disaster.

Mine to this day has nylon cord holding it on, which was the only thing I could find to do the trick where I was. Someday I'll fix it .

I too, took mine off to clean it and just never bothered to put it back on.

I'd never run without the undertray. Next time you have yours off, check-out how the lower radiator tank is exposed. And it's plastic. Woundn't take much in the way of road debris to set one walking.

I wonder if domestic inventory for a part such as this dips to a certain number, Subaru throws a few onto the next boat over (assuming there exist others in Japan)?

Ah, that must be why mine are kinda bent. I remember having to maneuver the original under cover around the things to get it off.
