Is the mysterious item flexible or ridged.
If it is flexible I would go with the assumption of a spring of some sort. Likely from the seal when it was replaced. If it is ridged and formable than it is most likely a metal chip from some machining. It could have been stuck on something for a while and just broke loose. This is very uncommon but possible. Keep us posted. Steve

I too think and hope that it is a piece of spring. One thing that I have learned is to not ASSume anything and that the most likely answer is not always right. Beside the SVX has been know to do strange things.
