Emblem

Where can I get a japanese Alcyone emblem. And for those of you who changed yours already, did subaru put you emblem on when the paint was still wet? They did it to mine. And is the Alcyone emblem the same size as the original?

Next step filp the fire wall for a right hand drive.

There have been lots o' posts on where to get the emblems. Do a search for "emblem." I know that Green1995SVX and SVXcess both have Japanese connections.

The emblem does not follow the same pattern as the original, and, no, Subaru did not put the emblem on when my paint was wet. I have a feeling yours may have been painted by an impatient body shop.

The alcyone emblem is more vertical, while the original is more horizontal and oval. There was evidence of the old emblem that would've stuck out about a quarter inch on each side of the alcyone emblem, if I hadn't tested, then cleaned the area before application.

You hood has been replaced. Subaru could not have afforded to mask around everything during painting. Only shops that spray 'em and roll 'em out the door do stuff like that.

I bought my gold Alcyone emblem through Dayle at Motorsport Warehouse.

Randy's right - the emblem can't be put on wet paint. The cars go through an oven to cure the paint after it's sprayed on. The car goes through their Trim & Final department between half a day and a full day later to have everything installed.
